Data Collected by The 1^UP App

When you create an account and use The 1^UP App, we collect the following categories of information:

Account Information

• Email address — used to create and authenticate your account
• Username or display name — used to personalize your in-app experience
• Password — stored in encrypted form; we never store passwords in plain text

User-Generated Content

• Journal entries — text you write in the Power-Up Journal
• AI coaching conversations — messages you send to Thomas AI and the responses generated
• Activity logs — actions you record in the app (XP earned, quests created, milestones completed)
• Assessment responses — answers you provide in the Hero Archetype and Fulfillment assessments
• Player's Lobby session notes — reflection content from weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly sessions

Usage Data

• App features accessed, screens viewed, and session duration
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Crash reports and performance data used to improve the app

How We Use Your App Data

We use the data collected through the App to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Deliver and personalize app features including XP tracking, quests, and assessments
• Power AI coaching conversations and journal guidance through Thomas AI
• Calculate your progress, streaks, level, and achievement history
• Send account-related communications such as password resets and important updates
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information or user-generated content to third parties. We do not use your journal entries or coaching conversations for advertising purposes.

AI Coaching & Journal Data

The 1^UP App includes AI-powered features — Thomas AI coaching and the Power-Up Journal — that process the text you enter to generate responses and guidance.

• Conversations and journal entries are transmitted to our AI service provider to generate responses
• These inputs are used solely to deliver the requested feature and improve response quality
• We do not use your journal entries or coaching conversations to train AI models for use by other users or third parties without your explicit consent
• You can delete your conversation history and journal entries at any time from within the app

Please do not enter sensitive personal information such as financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or medical records into AI features.

Third-Party Services Used by the App

The App uses the following third-party services that may receive or process your data:

• Apple App Store — manages app distribution and, when applicable, subscription billing. Apple's privacy policy applies to data processed through Apple's systems: apple.com/legal/privacy
• AI service provider — processes text inputs to power Thomas AI coaching and Power-Up Journal features
• App infrastructure provider — hosts and stores app data securely

We require all third-party service providers to maintain appropriate data protection standards consistent with this policy.

Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your app data for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account:

• Your account information, journal entries, coaching conversations, and activity data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request
• Some data may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention

Children's Privacy

The 1^UP App is rated 4+ on the App Store but is designed for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will promptly delete it. Data Collected by the Website

This section describes how your personal information is collected when you visit or make a purchase from thomasedwardsjr.com.

Device Information

Behavioural Advertising
